What's new in One UI 6?
One UI 6 has new features that empower you to do what you want effortlessly. Personalise your everyday experiences. Be more productive. All the while keeping your data safe and secure.

Instantly search for anything on your screen

Circle to Search with Google lets you easily learn more about anything shown on your screen without switching apps. Just touch and hold the Home button or navigation handle, then circle anything on the screen to start a Google search.

Summarize and translate webpages

Get the information you need quickly by summarizing webpages with Browsing assist in Samsung Internet. You can reduce a long read into just the most important bullet points. You can also translate webpages into your language.

Automatically transcribe voice recordings

Use Transcript assist to convert recordings of meetings, lectures, voice memos, and more into text, then summarize them for quick review. You can even translate the transcripts and summaries to review them in other languages.

Reimagine your photos

Generative edit gives you more ways to edit your photos. You can move, remove, or resize the people and objects in your photos, then generate new background to fill in any missing pieces.

Clock repositioning

You now have more freedom to move your clock to the position of your choice on the Lock screen.

Simplified icon labels

App icon labels are now limited to a single line for a cleaner and simpler look. "Galaxy" and "Samsung" have been removed from some app names to make them shorter and easier to scan.

Wallpaper

Decorate your wallpaper however you like. When you select an image to use as your wallpaper, you can now apply frames and effects. When your wallpaper includes a person or animal, you can apply depth effects to make the subject stand out from the background.

Keep pop-up windows open

Instead of minimizing pop-up windows when you go to the Recents screen, pop-ups will now remain open after you leave the Recents screen so you can continue what you were working on.

Camera widgets customisation

You can add custom camera widgets to your Home screen. You can set each widget to start in a specific shooting mode and save pictures in an album of your choice.

More alignment options for watermarks

You can now choose whether your watermark appears at the top or bottom of your photos.

Apply effects more easily

Filter and face effects now use a dial instead of a slider, making it easier to make precise adjustments with just one hand.

Turn off swipe up/down to switch cameras

Swiping up or down to switch between the front and rear cameras is now optional. If you’re concerned about accidental swipes, you can turn this off in Settings.

Effortlessly enhance your photos

While viewing a picture, swipe up from the bottom of the screen or tap the i button to get special AI recommendations for enhancing your photos and videos. You'll find options for adding star trails, long exposure, colouring, and more.

Copy and paste from one image to another

Add a missing element to your picture. Just clip an object from an image, then go to the image where you want to paste it and choose Paste from clipboard in the More options menu.
